SAM EVANS, SIXTEEN, NEW DIRECTIONS, LOVABLE, DORKY, DAMAGED
[style=margin-bottom:-1px;color:a9a9a9;text-align:right;font-size:14px;font-family:georgia;font-style:italic;]remember when they said that what we want
could never be done
As a general rule, Sam's a pretty friendly, outgoing person who isn't afraid to reach out a hand to the new kid or the shy student in his geometry class...but after it was leaked that he had to work at Scandals to support his family, most of the many friends that he had pulled away and a lot of potential friendships dissolved. Despite the many burned bridges, however, most of the glee club will probably still stand strong as his friends and allies. Anyone who doesn't mind his questionable past as a stripper will also get a warm welcome from Sam, who is glad to nerd out and cheer up pretty much anyone with his James Earl Jones impression.
there's blood on my hands
and the killer is not my enemy
Sam is not a guy who likes to make himself enemies - he likes the safety of being liked by many different crowds of people. Unfortunately, after his long fall off of the top of the McKinley High food chain last year, there are bound to be quite a few haters. Sam tries to deal with people as respectfully as he can, but he does happen to have a temper, so if you mess with his friends or family, kiss that pretty little face of yours goodbye. On the other side of the story, in addition to hating anyone who targets the people he loves, he also hates when people assume he's just another 'dumb blond' and being lied to. He's also not so fond of a certain Finn Hudson, to say the least.
hope you always believe
you still have all of my heart
Love-wise, Sam's been through it all: from the bitchy head-cheerleader girlfriend who cheated on him, to the manipulative now-lesbian that wanted him only for his froggy lips, he's had a lot of poisonous relationships over the years. Add in the fact that he's kinda bicurious and you get a crazy, mashed-up concoction that he would rather stay out of. Although Sam's pretty keen on avoiding love, it wouldn't be hard for it to find him under the right circumstances - he's a born romantic. Personally, I ship Samchel and Blam, but I'm open to anything.
father, father, tell me where have you been?
it's been hell not having you here
Family has become the most important thing to Sam since losing their house last year, so anyone in that circle of his life will automatically take front-and-center. Both in his nuclear and extended families, Sam tries to keep his bond with his relatives tight-knit and finds the good in everyone he's related to. He's a real mama's-boy, but fear convinces him to make his father proud: from sports to dating Quinn Fabray to watching his little brother and sister, everything he does is for Papa Evans. No matter what, though, he still feels like he'll never be able to make his dad happy.

JEFF STERLING, SIXTEEN, DALTON WARBLERS, GOOFY, CHARMING, IGNORED
[style=margin-bottom:-1px;color:a9a9a9;text-align:right;font-size:14px;font-family:georgia;font-style:italic;]remember when they said that what we want
could never be done
Even though his best friend first and foremost is a horse, Jeff just really likes people - and he lets them know it. He's the type of guy who will talk to anybody, crack a joke about his own weirdness to break the ice, and will be the first one out on the dance floor even though he knows he can't dance for his life. Jeff likes to chat and have a good time, but beyond his Blabby Bobby personality, he's genuinely nice to everyone and will actually tell someone if he likes their shirt or their hair or their shoes. He makes a great friend for the quiet, listening type or for someone who might not have the best self-esteem, but ultimately, Jeff believes that everyone's a good person till proven guilty, so he's really a great friend for anyone to have.
there's blood on my hands
and the killer is not my enemy
Jeff definitely likes to poke fun at himself, but he's totally not okay with anybody else doing it. Dalton may have a zero-tolerance policy, but an easily-offended guy like Jeff can often feel targeted by even the nicest of guys. Fortunately, he's pretty passive-aggressive and knows not to fight back, but his enemies will have to be good at handling glares and the silent treatment. Flip the situation around and Jeff turns into a thirteen-year-old girl: if he doesn't like someone, all his friends will know about it and he probably won't shut up about it, either...not that he EVER shuts up. The one thing he won't do, however, is complain about someone to their face, which creates a bit of a roadblock. Poor Blaine Anderson just happens to be the main source of Jeff's annoyance at the moment - even now that he's gone, the legacy Blaine's left behind at Dalton leaves him as out of the limelight as ever.
hope you always believe
you still have all of my heart
Jeff's the type of guy who doesn't fall in love: he trips in it. Romance isn't really his strong suit, so liking somebody isn't really his strong suit. You're more likely to get a stammered compliment and a stepped-on flower petal than you are to get a love poem and a dozen red roses. Jeff has little to no experience in a romantic relationship, but he would like to change that...particularly, with his best friend Nick Duval. That's right, folks - I am another one of those cult Neff shippers, but I'll try anything once.
father, father, tell me where have you been?
it's been hell not having you here
Jeff is in a bit of a tough spot with the men of his family: his father's been in jail for the past sixteen years, his brother doesn't even have the same dad as him, and his soon-to-be stepdad shipped him off to Dalton to get him out of the way. The one person in his family he can actually stand right now, however, is his fourteen-year-old brother Ty, who has been his close confidante since before either of them could talk. As for extended family, Jeff hates anyone on his dad's side of the family - guilty by association - but can tolerate most of his mom's family. He's your typical teenage guy when it comes to this type of stuff: he loves presents from Grandma, but as soon as the lipstick comes out he runs for the hills. He can only take so much family time.
